30% Cash Withdrawal Facility From Kisan Card: Available Now

Punjab government has started distributing Kisan Cards to farmers in Punjab in full swing. Some good news from the Punjab government, Punjab government has recently allowed farmers to withdraw up to 30 percent cash by using their Kisan Card as per the latest update from the Punjab government. It has to be noted that this option was not presented to the farmers earlier. They could buy fertilizers, seeds and agro-pharmaceuticals only after attaining credit through the card. Now, the Punjab government has also ensured the same facility to farmers, including withdrawing 30% cash. Except that, talking about data thus far, the most recent update by the Punjab government says that over 1.2 million applications have been received by the government for Kisan Cards till now. Of that, the Punjab government has ensured that supply of cards is there to no less than 487,000 farmers.
Recall that at the time of launching this project, the Punjab government had planned to provide cards to just 500,000 farmers only. In view of growing numbers of farmers who are being issued with the Kisan Cards, the number of cards have been enhanced from 500,000 to 730,000 as directed by special instructions by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif. When will the service of drawing cash from the card be available?
As mentioned above from the article, it is said that the Punjab government in its latest update informed that the farmers would be able to withdraw the amount of up to 30% cash on their Kisan Card. We would like to inform you further that this would be available from 20th November 2024. Just two days from today, farmers will be able to withdraw up to 30% cash using their card from the Punjab Bank ATMs.
Kissan Card Registration Procedure
Now, the Kissan Card registration process has been streamlined. A farmer unable to present his land records in the Punjab Land Records Office would have to be sent to the nearest Land Registry where his records would be rectified. Registration can then be done by sending an SMS to PKC Space along with their ID card number 8070. Similarly, the farmers who have already existed land records at Land Records Centre but have not yet completed their registration formalities should also register as soon as possible through above procedure. Eligibility Criteria
For obtaining a Kissan card, some very important conditions have to be fulfilled. For the first, he needs to have a valid identity document. Then, he should be a permanent resident of Punjab and must have his land record registered in the Land Registry. He should not have any connection with illegal activities. He must also be free from the debt burden of any bank or financial institution. Only farmers who meet all these criteria are considered for registration.
Important Notice on Using Kisan Card
The Kisan card is used only at registered dealers where farmers can purchase fertilizers, seeds and pesticides. It’s easy as you can get your items through just swiping of your card. There are no extra charges as applied on the markets and it’s also by government prices. If any trader is caught charging at prices above the decided rate then his business will be sealed and his license for trading will also be canceled.
