8171 Ehsaas Program is one of the best schemes of Pakistan established by the government especially for the poor. The main objective of this project is to help poor families from different sectors of the country to live their lives easily.

Former Prime Minister Imran Khan Niazi started various sub-projects under this major project of 8171 Ehsaas Program. The aim was to provide relief to those who are going through a heartbreaking situation, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic in Pakistan.

After the departure of Kovid, people were still in dire straits and he re-launched the Ehsaas program to provide financial assistance to the families.

To receive this support, you need to register yourself for this EHSAS program. Government of Pakistan introduced 8171 Check online portal for the convenience of people to check their eligibility for the program. Internet connection is required to use this portal.

BISP has already served billions of people and is still helping the country by eradicating poverty, illiteracy and unemployment and providing financial assistance to the homeless, widows and orphans. By 2024, it is estimated that the program will provide financial assistance, food, loans and education to more than 50 million people in Pakistan.

This is a great achievement of the government of Pakistan. Government also launched BISP and EHSAS Program 8171 web portal for the convenience of people to check their eligibility, initiate complaints, and check payment status without any hassle.

Use the 8171 portal to verify eligibility

To verify your eligibility for the program using this web portal, you need to follow some simple steps, such as:

• Go to the official website by clicking on the link 8171.pass.gov.pk, and you will get the EHSA Eligibility Portal on your screen.
• There is a home page where you can see two boxes. In one box, you have to enter your 14-digit CNIC card number.
• In the second box, you will find a captcha. Now you have to enter the exact code from the captcha in the box.

Use 8171 SMS service to verify eligibility

In the absence of internet connection, you don’t need to worry as there is an alternative method to check the eligibility. You can also confirm it through SMS service.

1. First, you need to send your 14-digit CNIC card number to 8171 via text message.
2. Second, you will receive two types of messages: one that you are not eligible for the program, and the other that you must wait for your payment or go to the District Registration Center. This way you get confirmation.
3. Sometimes different teams are formed to go door-to-door to verify eligibility for the EHSAS program. Thus, they may also ask some questions regarding their financial status, sources of income and employment. If you qualify, you can receive 14,000 from the government in your sponsorship account.
4. Another important feature of this portal is that when you register through the 8171 check online portal, you automatically get yourself registered in all other programs under this Ehsaas umbrella.

NSER Survey

The NSER survey is a national socio-economic registry that comes to your doorstep to assess the poverty score of every household. The team will provide you with a form with various details.

This form is optional and not mandatory. If you do not have this form, you can also register yourself with your CNIC number and SIM number. You should be careful about your CNIC card as it is the most essential part of this program. Without it, you cannot register yourself in this RAM.

After filling all the information correctly, you can submit it by pressing the submit button on the screen. Another window will open asking you to confirm your eligibility. Now you can contact the nearest Ehsaas Program Center to collect your money.
